One Of Kogi’s DJ Is Among Top 10 DJs In Nigeria In 2019

You go to parties and you can’t stop dancing. You’re wiping sweat off your face and your handkerchief is completely soaked. You can’t help but inquire who the monstrous DJ is. It is a fact that Nigerian DJs are known for setting dance floors on fire.

Sometimes, many Nigerian DJs don’t get the credit they deserve. They put in a lot of work and make sure to keep their audience turnt. Some of them play on popular radio stations while some of them are seen in high-class functions causing a hailstorm.

One important thing that must also be mentioned is that some of these DJs even feature Nigerian musicians on fire tracks. They drop bangers and help provide a platform for upcoming and emerging acts.

Many were left heartbroken when news broke that DJ Arafat met an unfortunate death while riding a motorcycle. As fans and loved ones mourn his death, we urge everyone to take time to celebrate our Nigerian DJs.

We have put together a list of the top 10 DJs in Nigeria.

DJ Spinall

Because DJ Spinall knows how important branding is for a DJ, he quickly created a unique appearance for himself. Spinall is always wearing a red cap. His name is befitting because he’s adept at spinning all genres while creating a perfect balance.

He is sometimes referred to as ‘The Cap’ and he was the first Nigerian DJ to get an endorsement. He signed a deal with Smirnoff in 2015. He has collaborated with various acts including Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Olamide, Mr. Eazi, Kizz Daniel, and many more.

He is currently signed to Atlantic Records, UK. He also has an endorsement deal with Pepsi.

DJ Neptune

DJ Neptune became acquainted with entertainment at a young age. He started his professional career as a DJ in 2001 before going ahead to work as an in-house DJ for RayPower 100.5FM.

Neptune became Naeto C‘s official DJ in 2008. He has put out several mixtapes and has released hit tracks like 123, This Gbedu, So Nice, Baddest, Wait, Demo, Tear Rubber, and more. He is known for his unnatural ability to mix songs without upsetting listeners.

DJ Big N

DJ Big N is the official DJ for Mavin Records. He has released a number of mixtapes including the “Mavin All Stars mixtape“, the ‘Surulere Mixtape Volume 1’, and the “ENERGY Mixtape“.

Big N started his career as a DJ in the UK. He graduated with an MBA degree from Coventry University, England. He is regarded as one of the most influential DJs in Nigeria.

DJ Cuppy

DJ Cuppy, whose real name is Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, is a Nigerian DJ and music producer. She is the daughter of affluent businessman Femi Otedola.

Cuppy earned a reputation as a Nigerian music DJ after going on an extensive tour that saw her perform in over 8 cities in Africa. She has interned at Jay Z‘s Roc Nation before and has a master’s degree in Music Business from New York University.

She has released a couple of songs such as Vibe, The Way I Am, Abena, and more. Her music is regarded as Neo-Afrobeats and her latest song Gelato (featuring Zlatan Ibile) is enjoying maximum airplay.

DJ Kaywise

DJ Kaywise is popularly known in the streets for his mixtapes. He has carved a niche for himself as a Nigerian DJ and organizes an annual concert Joor that brings together a large crowd.

He has worked with a number of artists including Ice Prince, Iyanya, Olamide, Dammy Krane, and others.

DJ Caise

DJ Caise started developing an interest in disc jockeying when he was studying in the University of Reading. He was signed to Chocolate City as the official DJ in 2011.

Caise attended Point Blank Music College in Hoxton, North London. He has performed at several events including Big Brother Africa, BET Awards, MTV Africa Music Awards, and more.

He has released some songs such as Buckle Up, Crush, Lights, and many others.

DJ Xclusive

DJ Xclusive is a Nigerian DJ, producer, and recording artist. He started his career as a professional DJ in 2003, performing at various nightclubs.

He became the resident DJ at CoolFM 96.9 in 2011. He also became the official DJ for EME in the same year. He has since released singles like Pangolo, Ibebe, Tonight, Gbomo Gbomo.

DJ Tizzy

DJ Tizzy is one of the most talented DJs in Nigeria. He has worked in numerous clubs and he won the FAC verge award and recently Kogi celebrities awards 2019, beating a few other nominees.

He started trying his DJ skills at a very tender age. He has released several mixtapes that have gotten thousands of downloads. He has played at prominent events alongside top Nigerian acts such and has accomplished even more.

He is usually described as Lokoja’s finest DJ amongst his fans.

DJ Enimoney

DJ Enimoney is the official DJ for YBNL and a brother to Olamide. He showed an inclination toward music since his secondary school days.

He has put out many mixtapes that have earned him a name as a street DJ. He holds credit for hit songs like Oya Dab, Send Her Money, Diet, and more.

DJ Lambo

DJ Lambo, whose real name is Olawunmi Okerayi, is a Nigerian DJ. She’s originally known as DJ Lamborghini.

She started chasing a career as a professional DJ in 2009, after a stint as a Radio OAP in RayPower 100.5 FM, Rhythm FM 94.7 Abuja, and Love 104.5 FM Abuja. She is a self-taught DJ and is the official DJ of rapper M.I.

She signed to Loopy Music in 2013 before the label merged with Chocolate City in 2015.

Special mention: DJ Jimmy Jatt. As much as the legendary DJ is scarcely seen scratching, he is regarded as one of the best Nigerian DJs of all time.
